Simple form
You can insert the edit box with "Insert >Forms >Form element...".
If there is not any
form start marker
, HyperPublish will prompt for it. The form start marker is required to tell to the browser where the form starts, and what’s its behavior. In other words, the form marker's properties determine what happens when the form is submitted. If you don’t want to edit marker’s properties immediately, simply press OK: you can edit them anytime by using the right mouse button.
Then, in the window shown, select which form element to insert. The simplest one is in the example below.
Insert your name:
To insert a button, use "Insert >Forms >Buttons..."
Note that each form element has its own “identifier”. For example the name of the box above is “identifier1”. An identifier can’t start with a number and can’t contain spaces or symbols different than numbers or letters. In short “dummy123” “name” “mickey” are valid identifier, “al$%77”, “&/al”, “mickey, goofy”, “this id”, “3mick” are not.
